Undo and change history

Undo and redo

• Mac · iPadPress the undo and redo arrows at the top right. On a keyboard, ⌘Z / ⌘⇧Z.
• WindowsPress Undo and Redo in the toolbar, or Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z (Ctrl+Y also redoes).

Undo works on highlights, underlines, sticky notes and handwriting.

The history of your annotations

Rectoly keeps a history of what happened to the annotations in each paper: created, updated, deleted, restored, undone and redone — and what came in from Mendeley or Zotero, and how conflicts were settled (see Annotation sync).

Open it:

• Mac · iPad… › Change history.
• WindowsIn the side panel, open the Annotations tab and press History. Annotations takes you back to the list.

Go back to an earlier version

1. Open the history.
2. Find the entry you want to go back to.
3. Press Restore this version on it. The annotation returns to that state, and the restore itself is added to the history.

• Mac · iPadFor handwriting, choose Restore Previous Version to return a page's handwriting to how it was before the last change.
